crash before saving... hours of work disappears!

This is the third time this has happened. I haven't the time to read every crash report (I see there are many!) so unless there is a magic "retrieve your score after crash" button someone can tell me about, I better find a different program to use, this is frustrating beyond words. Hours of hard work disappears in the blink of an eye.

Musescore version 0.9.5. revision 2012
using a mac OS X v. 10.5.8

Please use the Forum for your future support request.
MuseScore 0.9.5 is outdated. You can upgrade to 0.9.6.1. See [[nodetitle:Download]] . MuseScore 0.9.6 introduced an autosave and restore last session mechanism. It's better saving every 5 or 10 minutes with any software you use for serious hard work, including proprietary one.

Hi Jamesvon,

Sorry to hear that. As Nicolas stated, 0.9.6 has crash recovery on board. Also 0.9.6 came with a lot of bug fixes. So upgrading is advised.

Can I ask when you started to use MuseScore? Did you download it from the musescore.org website or was it preinstalled?
