Staves misaligned after horizontal frame inserted

• Jul 22, 2015 - 17:51

First, this is not my score. I got it from https://musescore.org/en/node/70056 and replaced the original repeat bars with DS al Coda and associated symbols.

I wanted to physically separate the Coda from the rest of the score, so I clicked on measure 46 and selected Add...Frames...Insert Horizontal Frame. The staves after the frame are no longer lined up with the staves before, as shown in the attached pictures.

I've got no idea what version the score was originally created with, but I'm using 2.0.2 f51dc11 on Windows 7 Home Premium.

Don't use the spacer if you value accuracy. Even if you had it lined up perfectly today, tomorrow you might change the font size, or MsueScore's layout algorithm might change, and things wouldn't line up any more. Using an invisible lyric is a guaranteed way to make sure the spacing is the same forever. Doing things by hand is almost always a recipe for creating scores that look OK now but aren't future-proof.
