Formatting problem in handbook (missing space before word)
When this kind of formatting is used in the handbook, `note input mode`, the space before the text does not translate in the rendering of the pdf file. The space disappears and the text bunches up against the previous word.
How do these quotation marks affect text? Does this kind of formatting need to be replaced in the website pages to correct the problem in the pdf?

The problem also inconsistently affects < samp class = "button" > and the like, as well.
The problem can also affect italicised text. Page 85 of the 4/8/15 handbook (Arpeggios and Glissandos ) has missed out the space before the words "slide in."
