reference point lower of staff and note?
Can one make the reference point for dynamics the lower of the staff and the note to which they are attached? I have changed the offset to 6.3 below the staff, which I prefer to the default, but how can I make it also below the note? Similar question about hairpins except there are two or more notes.

Not currently possible, you'll just have to use the arrow keys or Inspector to move these down manually.
Thanks. Comforting to know that at least once I hadn't overlooked something. Since the dynamics part of what I was hoping for is vertically symmetric to the existing placement of tr and turns, would it be an appropriate feature request?

Sure. But it is rather more complicated, since dynamics are "text", and text is handled very differently than articulations and ornaments. Still, I think eventually we should have some way of specifying this.
