crazy crescendo then no sound
ok, so I used musescore and had no problem with it,
but I was playing around with the set up a little bit last time,
and now whenever I tried to playback my composition, it just plays a crazy crescendo(as if my headphones are about to explode) of the first notes then the sound disappears and I don't hear anything but clips afterwards.
I'm currently using M-Audio Fast track to listen to audio from my computer.
Help?

Does sound work from your computer speakers (without "M-Audio Fast Track")? Does it work if you plug your headphones directly into the computer?
What version of MuseScore are you using? What operating system?

I know the problem's probably in the portaudio section.
How should it be set up if it was for computer speakers?
musescore 0.9.6.3 , windows 7 64bit
Is it all scores or just the one composition? Have you tried turning down the volume in Display > Synthesizer? If all else fails you can try Revert to factory settings
