instruments xml
Hello
i changed the Archlute in the instrument.xml Clef G to G8vb (with Notepad++ in admin-mode and saved it)
but nothing changed. I tried it in musescore 2 and in the nightly built Thank you very much for the new options for the bass-strings of the lutes. Maybe the problem comes from the german translation?

MuseScore uses the built-in version of that file, if you want it to use your copy, you have to tell it, in preferences, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/preferences#score
Is archlute usually notated with an G8vb clef? Or with a normal G clef, but transposed down an octave? In either case we may need to fix instruments.xml

i think most luteplayers (including me) would prefer to write in 2 staves (G and F-clef like for piano)+ one tab-line. Writing in G8va clef is only a compromise to get all teh notes in one clef and everyone is used to it from guitar playing
