Flute too staccato?
Is there something different about the flute soundfont that gives it extra space between notes? I start a lot of my things out with a flute solo or soli and it always has space between the notes unless I add a slur. Is there a way to fix this, or change a setting without that? Is it a bug?

Edit: This only happens, at least to a noticeable degree, with notes about a second or so long.
As per instruments.xml, line 78, Flute has a gateTime of 95, whereas the general gateTime is 100 (with some overrides for some instruments, Flute being one of them)

I changed the number in the file and nothing happened. What does one do specifically to change it?

MuseScore uses the builtin Version of that file, unless being told otherwise (in preferences).
You chould change that value in the score (save as mscx, use a text Editor on it)
