While the lyrics command works good, can we have verse numbering like hymnal verse numbers?

I'd like to add an addendum.
I write rounds, hymns, and folk songs. Much of the time I'm just using a melody line with chord progressions over it, or I will notate a cello part on the same page as lyrics I'm singing. A feature I'd really like is to have numbered verses at the bottom of the page, not all cluttered under the staff, like in hymnals. One way to do this would be to have floating text boxes that you can place on the page, aligned in columns and rows, but not attached to the music itself.
Am I missing something and this is already possible?
Thanks a lot!

Without being rude, have you tried the handbook?

Sorry for the confusion, I've been trying to do this through the "lyrics" tab, not the "Frames" command. Now I understand how it works better! Thanks again,
