Repeated Crashes on Windows 7
Running Windows 7 and 0.9.6.3. Tried to invoke MS and it failed to load into the GUI application, but closed right away. Fixed that (apparently) by renaming the musescore.ini file.
Prior to that I had tried to remove and reinstall MS, reboot the OS, etc.
The day before, I had left off by installing some additional soundfonts and trying them out. I saw very spotty and somewhat buggy performance. Sometimes I would play the score, and stop at some point and the last note would continue to sound until I reloaded the soundfont. I saw an earlier post that suggested the computer was too low end. FYI, here's what I have:
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Athlon II X4 630
PEGATRON CORPORATION VIOLET6 motherboard
Using onboard audio from motherboard, realtek chipset
After all that, I opened a new score and started entering notes. I had several additional crashes while entering notes, selecting notes, etc. After another day and another reboot, I continued with the score and saw no additional crashes.

In order for a crash to be fixed, it is important to give the exact steps so that others can reproduce the crash (and eventually fix it). It often takes some experimentation to find the exact steps that are needed to reproduce the bug consistently.

In reply to In order for a crash to be by David Bolton
At this time I don't know the exact steps and I haven't been able to reproduce it. I will say, after the first crash, the following ones were on the order of "start the software, load the file, select a note, delete it, crash" or something equally brief.
It could be limited to the score I was working on, but that has also been working OK lately.
If the problem recurs, I will provide additional information.
