Mid-Staff Instrument Change Doesn't change pitches (Key signgatures) of certain instruments

I'm arranging a score for a lot of instruments, and I would like to shrink it down a little bit, and have some of the instruments change over. Some of them, I can do this with, violins, cellos, bass, piano, percussion etc. But some of the instruments are pitched differently and when changed they don't change pitches. For example, I want to change an Alto Saxophone into a B flat Clarinet, while the mid-staff instrument change changes the sound that is produced, the actual pitching of the staff is not changed. So the Alto sax was playing in a song written in B flat, it plays in G, but when the change occurs it still plays in G, but the Clarinet should be in C. Is there any way to do this? Thank you!

However, you shouldn't be using instrument changes just to save space - that is what the "Hide empty staves" option in Style / General is for. Instrument changes are for when you actually expect the human musicians playng the score to put down one instrument and pick up another. For example, you mention violins and cellos, but it's pretty much unheard of for violin players to switch to cellos in the middle of a performance. And in any event, "Hide empty staves" is *much* simpler since it works automatically. Just create staves for all the instruments you need and let "Hide emoty staves" manage the shrinking for you - that's what it was designed for.
