Old/other instrument samples?
After downloading the new Musescore (2.02), I listened to the piano and thought it was a bit too bright and artificial sounding, and this bothered me at every playback. Is there a way to get the old instrument samples from 1.x back or use a different instrument sample that sounds more natural (through plug-ins or the like)?
Thanks!

The piano may sound better or worse depending on the speakers/headphones it's being played through, but after a few other people raised the same question, an alternative piano sound was added. You can switch to the "Mellow Yamaha Grand" patch through the Mixer—it may be just what you're looking for.

I can't see a "Mellow Yamaha Grand"; I have 2 piano sounds: "Yamaha Grand Piano" and "Bright Yamaha Grand".

Ah, I see it :) It's closer to what I'm looking for. Would downloading different Soundfonts add more variety of sounds to choose from? I'm not quite clear on how they work.

As explained in page https://musescore.org/en/handbook/soundfonts#list
There are several soundFonts, some specialized
you can try them, follow carefully the instructions for loading in the Synthesizer
