It seems a bit counter-initiative to have to create separate login accounts for both these forms as well as MuseScore.com. I know that these two projects are different, but it would be nice not to have to create separate accounts for each. Alternatively, you could use Twitter (or Facebook) integration to create/authenticate the accounts as a method for people who use those sites.

Comments

A unified login for musescore.org and musescore.com is not going to happen since both websites (will) run under different terms.

The facebook connect and twitter integration has been tested for musescore.org already, but wasn't successful so far due to a problem with the Varnish setup we currently have in place. Another test later.

In retrospect, the request to unify the logging system was spot on. It proofed to be confusing for people having to create two accounts, and therefore raised the barrier to enter and get engaged on the MuseScore sites.

A more elaborate update can be found half way through this post: http://dev-list.musescore.org/The-State-of-MuseScore-2-td7578349.html

So today we have one unified log in system and it features Facebook connect which speeds up the registration process and access to the MuseScore site.
