Anyone know if you can add a divide?
I'm working on a composition for strings, and I don't know how to add a divide on the basses. Sorry if my music lingo isn't correct, I mostly play and am new to composition.

Do you mean "divisi", meaning you write two notes and half the bassess play one and half play the other? Sure, you can enter multiple notes - see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-entry. Or, if the two bass parts have different rhythms, see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/voices. Or, if you're just wondering how to add the *word* "divisi", see http://musescore.org/en/handbook/text.
