How to have a fermata only in parts and not in score
I write scores and then extract parts. I'd like to score NOT to show empty bars with fermata on the rest. Is it possible?
I need the part to have that fermata so the player know there is a fermata, but it's pointless to have 20 empty staves in the score for a fermata, only because one singer has the fermata. Makes sense?
Any help is welcomed.

After the parts are extracted, make the unwanted fermatas invisible by selecting them and pressing v.

It is important that you extract parts, then make the score's item invisible. This allows for different displays. If you make it invisible, then extract the part, it will be invisible in the part. I guess it's not really a big deal since you can then go into the part and make the item visible there.
