Note stems

Is it ok if I invert the stem of the note C? I think it would be more aesthetic and more readable. When I am in a similar situation but A's stem needs to be inverted, can I do the same? i know the rules for stem positioning, but I think for As and Cs, in context, their stems look better inverted.

I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Notation rules generally exist for a reason, and they also create consistency that allows people to quickly recognize common patterns. Deviating from the rules creates situations musicians are not accustomed to seeing it and make it harder to quickly recognize the pattern and read, plus it creates confusion as people then do a double-take and wonder what they are missing and why it's notated incorrectly and if maybe it is a typo and you meant A, etc.
