Drum notation question with example
Hi,
Can anybody help me to execute drum notation as illustrated in the attachment.
I can't figure it out and it doesn't seem clear in the hand book.
Thanks,
Mike
P.S. It's a little sloppy but you'll get the idea

Create a new drums 5 lines score
Press N
Got to percussion palette and choose closed hihat
In the tool bar choose 8th note (or press 4)
With the mouse enter the 8th notes for hihat
In percussion palette choose bass drum and choose [[nodetitle:voice]] 1
With the mouse click on the sheet to put the two bass drum
Same for snare.

Couldn't access this site for a while.
I'll get to your suggestions asap.
Thanks for the quick response!
Hi,
I can't seem to find voice 1 in the percussion palette.
As a result i get 2 separate lines instead of the stems being attached.
Also the second line has rests which I don't need. Flipping the stem direction
doesn't help.
If I can find the voice function, will that enable the 2 (or 3) note heads to have 1 stem?
Thanks,
Mike
P.S. I assume this would be the same for the example with the asterisk.

sorry for the broken link. For voices read : Voices

I guess i was sort of doing that without knowing it.
I also, figured out a combination of quarters and eighths
and sequnce of note entry that seems to be working o.k.
I wouldn't have gotten there without your help.
Thanks!!!!!
