Changing clef
I am working on a score that has a lot of instances where I need to change the clef from bass to treble and back and forth. I have had no problem as long as the clef change is at the beginning of a measure, but I came upon one instance where I need to change the clef in the middle of the measure. I try to drag it to where I want it, but it pops over to the beginning of the measure and changes the position of the existing notes resulting in way too many leger lines. I have not been successful trying to find anything in the handbook on this topic.
I should mention that I am using MuseScore 2.0 on Windows 7.

If you very carefully drag the clef from the palette onto a specific note, that note will be the start of the clef change. You can tell when it's in the right place to let go of it because the note head will turn blue, instead of the measure being highlighted. Alternatively, select the note you want the clef to be in front of and double-click the clef in the palette to add it.

After several tries, I was never able to drag it successfully, but selecting the note (actually it was a rest because I had not yet entered the notes) and then double-clicking the clef worked. Thank you so much.

When dragging, you have to drag so your mouse cursor is literally right on top of the note or rest, note in front of it when you expect the clef to eventually appear.

ZackTheCardShark described a note turning blue when a clef is dragged onto it, and Marc's screenshot shows a rest turning blue when a clef is dragged to it.
For me, any element to which I drag a palette object turns *red* - not blue. Any guesses why that is?

Depends on what voice it is in. Blue meand voice 1, other voices have other colors.

Maybe because you're using MuseScore 1.x rather than 2.0?

I'm using 2.0 - but a note or rest to which a palette element is dragged turns red just as it did in 1.3. This was the expected behavior to me, so I assumed it to be normal - and it is not voice-dependent.
