MuseScore unresponsive
Hi, I've been using MuseScore for a while (on Windows 7) and I've been very happy with it! I downloaded version 2 and it was working fine, but since about a week or two the program bugs. I try to open a file and the program just goes unresponsive. I've already tries deleting the program and reinstalling (version 2.0.1) but I get the same result.
I hope you can help, I've got a gig in three days and I would really like to have my sheet music in order... Thanks in advance!

If it worked before and not now maybe something has changed in your pc.

Make sure that MSS has permission from the antivirus and that the headphones or speakers are plugged in and turned on.
You can also try a Nightly

You do not need to uninstall the other versions

Thank you! I tried reverting factory settings and it works! In time for my gig too, I really appreciate it!
Also, please post the file you are having problems with. It is possible that file has become corrupt.
Also try opening the score by double clicking it from Windows Explorer rather than directly from MuseScore and see if that allows it to open (this bypasses some of the code that would normally be run on startup).

Hi, I did indeed discover that some files didn't seem to cause problems, but as mentioned above the programs seems to work again with the factory settings reverted. Including the files that bugged every time - which were of course the files I need... Thanks anyway!
By the way, I had already tried opening from Windows Explorer but no difference...
