I changed the file to show more regressions I've found. Also, this was made with rev. 1723, not 1712 as stated earlier. Naturals are not displayed in key changes when they are needed, and cautionary key signatures are not displayed at the end of systems. When entering a note by keyboard, If a key signature contains an E-sharp or B-sharp (and I assume a C-flat or F-flat) the enharmonic will be spelled with a natural sign. Sharps, flats and naturals all do not affect the playback when they are entered. Check out the new attachment.
Ok, so I opened the file (accidental oopsie) and played it. It played just as written! But try to make another file similar to it with the same revision 1723, and let me know if the accidentals you enter affect the playback without a reload.
Is it just me?

It looks like Werner might have added a fix for this already. See 7 April in the ChangeLog

I still do not get the naturals in the key signature (bar 7 of the fille MDMilford posted above in the first comment). I should see the naturals at the end of the second system, where the key changes. If cautionary key signatures were implemented, there would not be this problem.

Cautionary key signatures are a known limitation in current versions of MuseScore. If you want to track progress on this issue you can subscribe via http://www.musescore.org/en/node/2389
