Microtones not acting like accidentals
Microtonal accidentals seem to be acting like symbols in how they are displayed. They should automatically be associated with the note in the same way standard accidentals are. Some (but not all) 1/4 tones are expemt from this issue.
Details:
When placed (so note turns blue), microtones are placed like this
Should be placed like a normal flat, which automatically looks like this:
Microtones should act the same way as normal accidentals.

Which accidentals do show that bogus behavoir (I just checked them all and could not reproduce), what version of MuseScore are you usnig, what OS, can you share a sample score?
Found an related Problem though: all but the standard accidentals (flat, harrp, double flat, double sharp and natural) seem to be mutually exclusive, i.e. when selecting a not and double-clicking them they get applied and replace whatever accidental there was before, which is good, but double clicking a standard accidental does not apply that if a non-standard accidental was there before

Over the weekend, I will test as many of the microtones as possible.
I am using Musescore 2.0.2 Revision f51dc11.
I will provide a sample score of each microtonal accidental hopefully by Monday.
I'm guessing you are trying to apply these from the Symbols palette. You need to apply them from the Accidentals palette (be in Advanced workspace if you are not already, or use the Master Palette). Then they will obey normal accident layout rules.

I have tried both dragging from the symbols palette and dragging them from a custom palette.

Only those from the basic and advanced pallet are supposed to work.

It has to be the *Accidentals* palette. Well, a custom palette might work be only if you created it from the Accidentals palette, not the Symbols palette.

So the Saggital / other microtonal accidentals are not supposed to work automatically?
Thats what I seemed to find in doing some quick research of clicking and dragging. I would like to see them all treated the same.

As said, only the ones from the accidentals palette are known inside MuseScore do be accidentals, the others are just symbols.
Only thing we could do, in a futur version, is to extend the accidentals palette, maybe just the one that is part of the master palette. Until then you'd have to place them manually

MuseScore only supports the accidentals that are on the Accidentlas palette, and this includes a set of common microtonal accidentlas (although as I said, you need to be in the Advanced workspace to see them).
There are many more symbols on the Symbols palette, but even if they happen to look like accidentals, they are just symbols, and are treated the same as other symbols.
So if there is some specific set of accidentals you would like MuseScore to support as accidentals rather than just as symbols, feel free to list the ones you consider most commonly needed.

Actually I don#t see why we wouldn't be able to support them all, not in the basic or advanced Workspace, but in the master palette maybe? Or don't we just because most of them are missing in Emmentaler?
If all could be supported, then I would love to see that. Otherwise I would prioritize the non Sagital notation.
