Issue with clefs
I'm having some issues with this piano piece. I was sent a piece of music that was quite difficult to read, so I was planning on re-doing it in musescore so it would be legible.
However, at many points in the piece, the left hand goes above the limits of the bass clef (the G above middle C). So when I try to enter these notes, they interfere with the treble clef and basically screw up anything that was already there.
Is there any way for me to work around this? I considered just doing 2 lines of treble clef, but that also created a horrible mess of ledger lines and made the score nearly impossible to read. Any other suggestions? Thank you!

Not sure what is making you think there is an upper limit to how high notes can be entered on bass clef, but there isn't. I guess if you are using the mouse to enter notes, it will probably start picking treble if you click to high. But using the other methods of note entry - computer or MIDI keyboard - you can enter notes as high above the staff adf you like. Or, if for some reason you must use the mouse, you can enter the notes on the staff an octave lower then use the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-Up) to raise an octave. See Note Entry in the Handbook for much more on entering notes.

I use the mouse exclusively to enter notes. For me, this is the easiest way. So, what I do is click on the bass clef as high as the mouse allows before it changes over to the treble clef. Then I use the arrow key to raise the note to where it should be.
