Cellphone App

• Apr 12, 2016 - 20:46

Hi, gang!!!

I could install the MuseScore App to cellphones (Android), and I could to see and play some scores from musescore.com, but I couldn't load and/or play any scores that I put on the cellphone memory.

The App tells me that I need the "payed" version of the App (something about a "songbook").

What did I do wrong? or Is it "in purpose"? ???

Greetings & Blessings from Chile!!!!!!!

Juan

You did nothing wrong. The MuseScore app for Android doesn't let you open scores except if they are on MuseScore.com. If you want to open external scores, you need to buy the MuseScore songbook app.

"By purchasing our MuseScore Player, you support us in the continued development of the free MuseScore notation software. It is common in the market of notation software that player apps are available at no cost, while their counterpart software can cost upwards of $600! We at MuseScore believe it’s more beneficial to offer this app at a low cost, and maintain the free status of the MuseScore music notation software."
