Same way as writing voices not in unison - by following the instructions in the handbook under Voices. If the notes don't line up the way you want, double click a note head you want to move to enter Edit Mode, then nudge it over with the arrow keys. When youl are done and exit Edit Mode, the stem will automatically follow.

Thanks Marc, thought I had done that but as 1st bar started with couple of rests I realised was trying to enter voice 2 on 1st note rather than entering the rests for voice 2 as required. Thanks again
