Problem with accent placement
Hello all,
This is my first post. I have read many previous posts and cannot seem to find an answer to my dilemma. I am writing a piece that includes snare drum and bass drum. There are many accents throughout the snare part. When I drag and drop the accents for the snare drum the automatically go beneath the note heads and interfere with the bass drum notes, therefore I have to go back and manually move the accents above the snare note stems. Is there a way to have the accents automatically drop on top of the snare notes in the correct position?
Thanks in advance,
Scott

Not that I know of. Normally, the notehead side is right side, but not necessarily in a multiple voice context, which is what you have. SOunds like a good enhancement request, though!
BTW, it's a lot faster to place marking by clicking the note then double clicking the symbol in the palette, as opposed to draggin. This also has the advantage of letting you apply the articulation to many notes at once.

Thanks for the pointer on not dragging! Seeing as I am putting up to 50 accents on a page, this will definitely speed up the process!

If you put one of them where you want it, then copy that and press control-V on any other note, the accent will be in the same position relative to the note.
