how to include a rest in a rythmic figure ? (ie, in a group of notes attached under a same beam)
I saw this very interesting video :
http://musescore.org/fr/node/16129
but I'd like not to have the "double beam" (for 16ths) under the rest, rather the "normal" beam (for 8th notes), and only small 16th's beams on the notes in question, like in this hand-sketched example :
I do encounter this type of notation in purchased printed music and would like to be able to reproduce it with Musescore because as a performer I simply find it much more legible.
Thanks !

(sorry for the upside-down picture)
I think you will be able to do this in 2.0 when it is released.

Also important : is there a way to show rhythmic groupings, for example : (eight 32-notes)
______________

______ ______
! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
or
______________
______ ______

instead of
______________

?
Or with different subdivisions of course.
thanks for your hints !

That is the plan :)
If you want to check it out nightly builds of 2.0 are available from the download page.
Just be aware that they are still unstable and may crash without warning taking your wwork with it.
So don't use for anything serious :)
