Dynamics don't work in playback?
I have one part in my score notated as mezzo forte, while another part is notated forte. The mezzo forte part is not quieter than the forte part, if anything, it's louder. Why is this? Is there any way to fix it?

Open Inspector (F8) and check the settings
attach here your score if you want, use the "File attachments" option at the bottom of the page, just above the Save and Preview buttons when you're typing your post.

If the score was imported from MIDI, then the original MIDI velocity settings take precedence. You'll need to reset them to the default using the Inspector first.
if that's not it, you'll need to attach your score here so we can see what you are seeing.
