How do I place "Fine" tag
In the enclosed song I want to stop the repeat after the first note in measure 8, but when I listen to the song it stops after measure 8.
How can I fix this?

In general, Fine is normally applied to a full measure. if you need the effect of of stopping mid-measure, split the measure at that point using the Edit / Measure / Split command. The traditional practice would be to then use a dotted barline (using the palette).
Fine always gets applied to the end of a measure. Split the measure (click on the note after the one that you want the Fine to apply to and choose Edit ->Bar ->Splt.....), apply the Fine, then either hide the splitting barline or use Inspector to allow you to change it to a dashed barline (which makes it easier to see where the Fine is).
