Only playing one part
Hi I was wondering how to only play one part (one instrument) instead of the whole "band" playing the tune. When I press play, it plays the whole piece instead of one instrument. I was wondering how to only play one part. Thank you

Bring up the mixer window (display/mixer) and hit the solo button for the instrument you want to hear

I had the same problem.
Hit F10 or select it in the Menu under View.
How do we make it so it only prints one part. for example, to print out only the piano part. how would we do that?

A search for "Parts" brought up this: http://musescore.org/en/search/apachesolr_search/parts
Check out # 5.

Do what exactly? Everything discussed in this thread is for free

It is free in the application, but not on musescore.com afaik. I think the user tried to use the mixer on musescore.com, which is a pro feature. The answer to his/her problem is to download the software and the score and then edit it in MuseScore.

To open or close Mixer window you may use F10 button.
Parts visibility you may control using Instruments window (press 'I')
