Export and share a custom palette
Hello, I need your help please... about custom palette (OS: Ubuntu 19.10, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.2., revision: 148e43f) :
-
when I create a custom palette with my own png symbols, linkPath in the xml file of the .mpal is
Documents/MuseScore3/Palettes/Stabilo_v1-2/Stab_1.png
. All works fine.- I export these files and the .mpal on another computer (same OS, same version of musescore) and open the custom palette in musescore. The palette doesn't work : png are not showed in the palette and can not be insert in the score.
-
I try to create the palette in this second computer, and I see the linkPath is not the same than the first computer :
../Documents/MuseScore3/Palettes/Stabilo_v1-2/Stab_1.png
Is everyone can explain me why the export of my custom palette in anther computer doesn't work ?
So, why same version and same OS don't generate same linkPath when we save a custom palette ?

Here (Linux Mint 32 bit) the linkPath is /home/skunt/.local/share/MuseScore/MuseScore3. I can't tell you more but it could, as for *.mscz files, use different folders, for different versions and for standard and custom mpals.

Thank you !
So, to share a .mpal custom palette file with another user (and another computer) it's not possible because the path may not be the same. Right ?

Send the *.mpal file, the recipient will insert it in _his_ directory.
Try downloading the *.mpal attached here: https://musescore.org/en/node/303242#comment-988940

Thank you for your help. Your palette works fine, but with elements which provided by Bravura. In my case, elements of the palettes are external png files, which are not included in Musescore. And it's doesn't work. BTW, the xml file structure is not identic.
Strange...

For me on Windows 10 the first step is:
1. Press "Windows logo + R" to open the run box.
