Update Tab Missing from File > Preferences
Hi all, I'm relatively new to Musescore and want to update to the latest version, but the "Update" tab is missing from File > Preferences and I cannot update via the Help > Check for Updates option either. I'm running Windows 10. If you need any additional information please let me know!

It looks like you must be using an alpha or beta release because there's a Check for update option in the help menu for the official releases. To get version 3.5 visit https://musescore.org/en/download and choose the appropriate operating system. It's probably the blue windows 10 rectangle unless you have a 32 bit version of windows 10.
If I'm correct about you using a pre-release version, updating may not overwrite what you are using so you will need to make sure you run the proper version.

Looks like you're right! I will uninstall what I have and reinstall from the link; thanks!
Probably using the Microsoft/Windows store version, that doesn't have that option (Microsoft doesn't allow for it), so you're still on 3.3.4, right?
If so you'd need to wait a little longer, 3.4.x never made it into the sore and 3.5.0 will not make it, but 3.5.1 should.
