Add notes and change stem / flag direction
In Sibelius, when C is highlighted, typing "3" adds an E. Is there a similar feature in MuseScore? Also, how change the direction of the stem / flag from down to up for the top note?

I will re-phrase. In Sibelius, I can enter line 1 (blue when selected) and line 2 (green when selected) - both are on the treble clef. Line 1 has the flag up - line 2 has the flag down. Is there something similar in MuseScore?

I had wanted piano sound, but I can work around that. Is there a way to convert a Piano treble / bass staff into a Voice treble / bass staff - in the middle of a sheet that starts with Piano (this is for student video clips).

voices in this sense has nothing to do with sound. Voices are what it's called when you put independent lines of music on one staff. Read the link I provided.

Mike320, I've read that link, thanks! I don't see anything about inserting voices.
Shoichi, Pressing "i" displays Instruments" on the screen. I do not see Piano and Voices.
When I select Vocals => Soprano, Alto, Baritone, Bass, It inserts separate lines for each part. How do I have it combine Soprano and Alto on the same treble cleff (ditto for Baritone and Bass)?

Using the closed score SATB templates (or the women and men 'instruments') and https://musescore.org/en/handbook/voices (1 for Soprano and Tenor/Baritone, 2 for Alto and Bass)

I created a new sheet, as I don't see a way to combine into one sheet. Ok for now, but would like to combine the two sheets.

You can merge to staves into one, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/tools#implode and also an other HowTo: https://musescore.org/en/node/12345
You can also add intervals Alt+3 would add an E to your C alt+5 would add a G to your C. you can press X to flip stem directions.
So to enter you notes in the treble clef I would press
n 5 c alt+3 x
which means: note input mode, 1/4 note, c, add interval 3, flip stem. As you can see, the last note entered is still selected for most actions so the X will flip the stem on the last note or chord entered.

A new challenge. I have created a closed score SATB -

. In Sibelius, I select the top note and press "r". Sibelius repeats that note for the top note.
MuseScore repeats both the top note and the second note.
