New instrument for English Teacher
I'm using the 'Hand Clap' instrument to teach learners of English the correct rhythm of the language, including the words/syllables that are stressed by native speakers. I like 'Hand Clap' because it has a pleasant enough sound for clapping out a rhythm, it is a 1-line staff, and of course, all other Musescore functionality is available. However, in order to represent rising and falling tonality, such as rising tone at the end of a question, it would be handy if a pleasant-sounding percussion instrument with 3 pitches was available, with the middle pitch on the 1-line staff, and the other two a ledger line above and below. I note that the 'Wood Blocks' instrument has 2 pitches, but I really need 3, or possibly even 5.

Somehow, the option to edit any of the percussion instruments has completely disappeared. Previously, when I added a new percussion instrument to a new score I was given the option edit existing notes and to add new ones. However, no matter what I try, I can no longer access this functionality.

One thing to watch out for that might be relevant to your situation. You must use drumset sounds in the mixer in a drumset or you cannot enter notes. This is important because I've seen a few percussion sounds in other sound fonts not in drumsets and they must be notated on pitched clefs to be used.

Thanks, I've managed to overcome the current issues and feeling pleased with progress. I've been playing around in the mixer and managed to add a third note to 'Wood Blocks' and the 3 notes now form a nice chord. I also moved the middle note to the line in the single-line staff, the other two above and below. I think I managed to move all pitches down an octave, but perhaps I'm just dreaming. I also added a Stamp Instrument to give a beat and made it non-visible.
