Fingerings don't avoid staccato

I don't deal with fingerings so I don't make it a point to follow all of the issues with them. It seems from what I've seen that auto placement in no wise tries to avoid collisions between staccato and fingerings. Here's a picture from a sample piano score:

Similar story with tenuto. Those articulations are placed specially in a separate pass from other articulations, and the complex set of interdependencies between these, fingering, and also tuplets makes it really had for them all to know about each other.
