Disabling "Show barlines" using "Staff type change" doesn't work
I am writing a span of my score "Senza misura". Therefore, I am trying to hide multiple barlines, not one by one (but all together) - using the "Staff type change" tool. I unchecked the "Show barlines" option, but it didn't work.
1. Do you know how to fix this problem?
2. Alternatively, do you know any other ways to notate without barlines?

Indeed, joining measures is the much better method - disabling the show barlines option would have left the spacing "off". That said, it's a bug that it doesn't work; there is a pending fix that will hopefully be included in a coming update.

In Musesore 3 the measure "Senza Mesura" can still not be found.

You can join the measures therefore: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/tools#measure or you can use the insert note input mode: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input-modes#timewise.
To hide the time signature maybe use right click -> the staff properties or the inspector.
