Can't install musescore on Chromebook
I'm a support technician at a college. A student is having trouble installing MuseScore on Chrome OS on a Chromebook.
We were following these steps exactly, substituting the file name in the screenshots with the actual file name the student downloaded: https://musescore.org/en/howtochromeos
We kept getting stuck at step 4 in the Linux terminal. It will not accept the chmod +x bit. It keeps saying it can't find the file or directory. It also will not accept steps 5 or 6 for the same reasons.
At this point I'm not sure how to proceed and very few students use MuseScore on ChromeOS so we've never encountered it before. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Then the filename you specify is wrong.
It is case-sensitive.
But try https://musescore.org/en/handbook/install-chromebook
I have a simplified and more robust process I have been using that you might want to try instead. See:

You should add this (at least the link) to the Chromebook instructions.

I'm still waiting for someone to verify these instructions work for them on their systems.
