Entering fingerings by keyboard is way better than it was in V2 mouse only, thanks Marc for that.
However it could be better, actually exactly 2 times better.
Current process is: fingering [white space] fingering [white space] fingering [white space] ...
I want to get rid of half of the key press by auto jump... No more white space necessary.
In the very exceptional case where 2 letters are needed in the same fingering, shift whitespace would allow that as today

I'm not following how shift space would help if I want to enter a two-letter (or more) word. Seems that only helps if you want to actually enter a space. But I very often enter two-letter "fingerings" such as adding letter names (G#), scale degrees (#5) or whatever. True they aren't fingerings, but they are note-specific so staff text isn't appropriate.

Shift-space doesn't enter a space but goes back one note for me (and that would cancel the auto-jump effect).
If this specific to azerty keyboard perhaps?
I haven't especially configured it.
Ah, I thought you just had a typo for Ctrl+Space. Anyhow, this would be a big step backwards for me, so I'm not in favor of personally, but if a consensus develops on a forum thread that this is what most people would want, I won't object to someone implementing it.
