4:5 tuples
I want to create 4:5 tuples from a 5/8 (= 1/2 + 1/8) note duration, using the Add - Tuplets - Other, I get the error message saying I need to select a note or rest. Unfortunately, I did not find a way to represent the 5/8 note as a single note, it only gives me the option to display as a tied 1/2 and /18 note. Using the long hand form of tying 5 1/32 notes together and repeating to form the 4 notes gives the rhythm I want but is not very readable.
Picture below shows:
Any suggestions?

Thanks Shoichi, it worked, but only if (placeholder) rests are used instead of notes (notes just get tied), which then get replaced by notes. Yipeee!

The basis of creating these strange tuplets is using a measure rest. Tuplets are designed to turn each selected note or rest into that type of tuplet. This is convenient if you want to fill a 4/4 measure with 3 triplets which is far more common than turning 5 8th notes notes into a single tuplet.
Split the measure to make a full single measure rest out of that duration, then enter the tuplet and re-join the measure.
