MIDI Connection doesn´t work
Hello everone,
I want to insert notes into the score directly from my piano (Kawai CA79); I bought a MIDI cable (USB20MIDI) and I did everything as described online. When pressing keys on my piano, the score simply doesn´t update.
I already looked the problem up in this forum but didn´t find any useful information.
Can anyone help?

Did you connect the cable properly (output from keyboard generally needs to go to input on the receiving device)? Connect and turn on keyboard before starting MuseScore? Make sure you have a 64-bit driver for your keyboard? Check that it is selected in Edit / Preferences / I/O? Enter note input mode before trying enter notes?

I downloaded it and installed it now but it still doesnt work. But now the cable wont be recognized in I/O anymore

Try https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings
or using the MIDI button repeatedly

For the cable: input and output may need to be reversed
