Harp Pedal Diagram

Windows 10

1) Import plugin.
2) Enable plugin.
3) Open plugin.

The window should open and stay open for one to create a harp diagram. The plugin now causes a new window to open which nearly instantly closes.

I have not been able to get it to open for longer for any usable time frame, during which there are no details inside the window. I cannot figure out how to install a previous version of Musescore so I cannot see if this works there.

Try starting that plugin from within the Plugin Creator, that might give you some error messages ther should help inverstigating the issue

Running from within plugin creator says "no selection" if you have either: not selected a note, or
selected something from a non-harp instrument.

It works if you select a piece of harp, but there is no feedback at all (as described in the issue) if you don't.

Well, from the plugin's page:

Usage

Select the measure or chord where you want the pedal diagram to appear. (It will not run if you select a single note).
Run the "Harp Pedal Diagram" plugin from the plugins menu.
...

So it clearly states there needs to be a selection. So this is by design.
