Please allow scrolling the list of palettes without prior clicking into the list. Mouse whell should change its focus by hovering. This is already functioning well when changing between score and selection filter and sliders of the mixer. It should be equal with the palettes list. A soon as we work in score, palettes list has to be clicked again in order to scroll. It is relevant disturbance (and there seems not much space where to click without unwanted action). On top of it, the scroll bar is too narrow in this panel.

For me this is already true, scroll wheel works fine without clicking, both on Windows as well as on Linux. Do you have some special setting enabled to prevent the mouse from tracking focus?

Can others reproduce Might be worth posting to the forum, more people will see there, and maybe someone will know of a relevant setting to control this.

I'm having the same issue! I need to click into Palettes before I can scroll.

Additionally, the scroll speed is painfully slow. I downloaded 3.6 today and it takes about 5 times longer to scroll from the top of the palettes list to the bottom of the list. And these time losses add up quickly when you're using the list every 10 seconds for multiple hours.

Hmm, I'm guessing those facts are related somehow. I wonder if it's a bug in certain graphics drivers that causes this to misbehave? Be sure to update any relevant graphics drivers on your system.

I think I figured it out. I was having the same problem on my desktop, where it wouldn't scroll the palette without clicking it, but on my laptop it would scroll on hover. Then I realized, when I had Musescore open side by side with a PDF, it was the same thing; on my laptop the PDF would scroll on hover, desktop it wouldn't. So I looked into if there was a common cause setting in Windows and this is what I got:
"To enable scrolling inactive windows, open Settings > Devices > Mouse & Touchpad. From there toggle on Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them."

With this feature turned on, the hover scroll works perfectly in Windows.
