Corrupted file - any chance to get it back?
I tried a few articles, File Explorer is telling me it has data in it (not 0 bytes) but I can't get it to open. I've also read some posts about being able to see hidden files but no luck there. No autosaved files for that version in %LOCALAPPDATA%\MuseScore\MuseScore3\ either :(
Please, I'd appreciate it any help.

I have hidden files enabled. Am I searching in the right path? I have a .mscbackup file that I see, but it's empty. I've also checked C:\Users\<>\AppData\Local\MuseScore\MuseScore3 and nothing there as well

The backup file is created when you first save a modified version of file after having opened it. So if you ever owned this file then worked on it and saved it, the backup should be there. But, if you created this file and did all your work in a single session, never closing it and later reopening it, there would be no backup file And the autosave file is kept only if there is a crash, otherwise it is deleted when quitting MuseScore normally.
I assume you are on Windows; if you didn't disable OneDrive when setting the system up, there should be the previous saved versions you can restore using that service.

In the Windows search box, have you tried searching for: "All *.mscz files"?
Or: Home/Yourname/Documents/MuseScore3/Scores the mscbackup folser

Yes, I can see the backups folder and 7zip let's me see the hidden files inside. That score isn't there, but ones I was working on earlier in the night are. This specific file had been saved multiple times so I'm not sure where else to look.

I'm currently on Linux but for me the folder (MuseScore 3.6.2) is in this path:
Launch MuseScore, from Preferences check the path to the Scores folder.

Found that folder, which was also the default in MuseScore, but it's empty and there's no hidden files. There are hidden files in the other path from the 7zip screenshot above, however. I'm guessing I'm out of options? :(

oof, yeah, I opened it up in a hexeditor and it's all 0s. I think I'm screwed.
