Notehead variations
I downloaded a version of Hallelujah written for strings which occasionally has a notehead attached to the middle of the stem. I have a BS. In music and have been playing in a variety of musical groups for more than 70 years and have never seen that notation before. It was repeated in a number of measures so I don't think it was a misprint. I would appreciate any comments or explanations.

Here's the score. It's the first note in the violin and clarinet parts in measure 17. When I play the tune using the Musescore play panel, both the violin and the clarinet sound a concert C.
I couldn't find this notation anywhere else. I think the note heads are simply misplaced.

Indeed, I think the user who created this score simply messed up and accidentally moved the noteheads, perhaps using the Inspector. Just select them and press Ctrl+R to reset them to their correct positions.

I didn't know you could move the note head. The stems were placed properly.

It's kind of hard, usually anything you do changes the stems too, and most of the things you do changes the pitch and everything else. But the Inspector is capable of moving individual noteheads. It's also possible to accidentally do it through a fairly convoluted process involving double-clicking a note in a chord, dragging it, then deleting the remaining notes.
