What exactly is the problem?
The score is corrupt:

Thank you. Yes, that was the problem. Actually, the fact that musescore even allows notes and tests that exceed the time signature seems to be a bug in itself, corrupted or not.
Very certainly a very needed feature rather than a bug. If there's a bug, then the fact that is is too easy to get into insert mode by accident
