Trouble getting uploaded music container multi-measure rests to be converted and displayed to mscz format
I've tried a couple times, and the MuseScore Upload is a GREAT way to get music into the system, however, I've not once had it import the measures that have extended rests (very common on my instrument).
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Honestly, I also cannot figure out how to add the extended rests using the desktop app either..so that's a different problem...but if the upload would recognize the extended rests that would certainly speed up my imports. I sent this to MuseScore support email, but they pointed me to the forums. Hopefully, I'm putting this in the right place. I found several older threads on multi-measure rests, but couldn't find anything related to uploaded conversions. I've added my PDF and the mscz file for reference.

Thank you but while that explains how to create multimeasure rests, it doesn't talk about the upload conversion process. In the example I provided, the rests in the pdf aren't even recognized, but less not combined.

I guess by upload, then, you are talking about the experiment "import pdf" feature? That wasn't clear originally. Anyhow, that conversion is done by a third party program called Audiveris. For information or help with that program, you'd have to do a web search to see where they are currently accepting comments; I'm not really sure.

Right...it being experimental I would think they'd have a desire for your user feedback on how well it's working....

Several optical music recognition programs (even commercial software) fail to recognise multi-measure rests. If you find missing rests, just use the Insert key to insert as many extra rests as you need.

Provide that feedback to Audiveris direclty
