Audio Not Available
I am pretty sure I followed all the directions on the support pages, but I cannot get my Audio to work with Musescore. I tried removing Musescore, reinstall the 64-bit release. remove it again, install the 32-bit release, but I never get any sound. View->Synthesizer is greyed out, no devices are available at Edit->Settings->I/O
I am working on an oldish Lenovo T440p with Realtek HD Audio, but nothing I could change in those settings will change Musescores behaviour either.
Older versions of Musescore worked fine ...
Any help would be appreciated!
Thomas

Thanks, but as implied above - I read through the faq and tried all the steps mentioned. Sound hasn't stopped working either, it never worked at all in MuseScore 3.

Most likely explanation for this if you literally tried everything is that some other program on your system has requested and received exclusive use of your audio. EIther find and shut down that program, or find the option in your OS to prevent programs from receiving exclusive use of audio.

Hmmm... when checking with my audio mixer, all I see ist "Systemsounds" and "Firefox" as Apps using audio. It doesn't work after a reboot with MuseScore as the only program running either.
Anyway - thanks for going to the trouble and helping me out here!

In that case, it sounds like a buggy audio driver. See if an update is available from the manufacturer.

There was, I installed it, but that didn't change anything ...
"Older versions"; any idea how much older?

Basically MuseScore 2 I guess...
