Bass Drum SoundFont?
Hi, I'm in a bit of a pickle:
I'm currently trying to make an arrangement of a piece that needs a particular bass drum noise that I can't get using the default bass drums. This noise pretty much sounds like if you were to lightly hit a concert bass drum... and then not dampen, letting it ring. It sounds a bit like thunder. I've tried putting the bass drum at a mezzo piano-piano dynamic, but it doesn't give me the sound I'm looking for. I was wondering if anybody else had a soundfont that would allow me to do this with the bass drum. If you or anyone else does, that would be really helpful.
NOTE: I have tried both bass drums (concert and drum set) and the timpani, but I still haven't gotten the sound I want from them.

Thanks! Once I have time on my hands I'll go check it out. If I can't find anything I'll just come back here. Thanks for your help!

I couldn't seem to find anything that sounded right to me. If you have any other suggestions, that would be helpful.
Maybe the Timpani Set from my site might come close There are a few presets to choose from.https://sites.google.com/site/soundfonts4u/

Thank you! This is great for creating the effect I'm going for! Combined with the bass drum and adjustments in the synthesizer, this is really good for the song and perfectly captures the mood I'm going for! That's one of my problems solved. Thank you!

Hi!
I'm a layman in the process of using Sound Font's I only use the standard sounds from Musescore. However, I accessed the site and downloaded several sounds for example Rhodes EPs Plus-v2.3.
As I said, I don't understand much about it, but when I have a grid with several instruments such as piano, drums, bass, flute, among others, when I choose this sound source, all instruments play only the Rhodes Piano timbre. I wish only the piano was this timbre. Why does this happen and what do I have to do so that the other instruments (except the piano) sound in their own timbres and only the piano plays the Rhodes Piano?
Thank you for the teaching and the affection for making the timbres website available.
Friendly hug!

You should keep the standard soundfont at the top of the list. That way, for any instrument where you aren't specifically changing the sound, MuseScore will keep using the default. It always defaults tot he first soundfont on the list.

Hi
mark!
All right, I learned your teaching.
I understand that the default soundfont is at the top of the list, the others are at the bottom of the list.
Just out of curiosity: is it possible for these secondary (non-standard) sondfonts to be permanently on the list without having to load them every time we start a score?
A big hug and I'm very satisfied with Musescore!
