If you open the file in Musecore then export it as a MP3 or WAV file Then export it as a MIDI, the MIDI version will have a slightly longer duration than a MP3 or WAV file.

For me both show as 2:20. What are you seeing? And what are you using to measure the length of the MIDI (that information, as far as I know, is not stored directly in the file but would be calculated from the data).

Normally I'd expect the MP3 to be slightly longer because of the time added for the reverb decay.

But the MP3 file also seems to be faster (the reason im saying this is because Synthesia plays back some of the instruments with different sounds obviously as MIDI files don't have any sound just data of notes and instruments, so i want to screen record Synthesia and play an MP3 file over it with the same song so that the instruments sound right but when I'm putting the MP3 file over the screen recording the MP3 file is quicker than the recording and always starts before the the midi.

Sounds like maybe your MIDI player is not interpreting the tempo quite correctly, and has a slow start up, but that doesn't indicate an issue with the MIDI file itself. plays exactly correctly tests I've done where I am careful to synchronize everything.
