changing the order of teh staves staves
You'll see that I have managed to put the piano at the top and the voice undeneath. I want the voice on top. How do I do that?

Press i in in that dialog reorder
The default score ordering is Orchestral, in which piano is generally placed before voices. But in pop or choral music it's almost always the other way around. So, use the drop down at the top of the Edit / Instruments to change the score ordering from Orchestral to either Rock band or Choir.
And in the future, you can use the "Voice + Piano" template when creating your score, which sets this up automatically.
