Compressed Rest
I only see example using shortcut "M" for measure rest compression, but what if I want to compress certain number of measures of rests to be compressed. See example picture.

Note, though, that it would not be common to break multimeasure rests arbitrarily. Usually that happens only at important points in a piece like where there are rehearsal marks, repeats, tempo changes, key changes, etc. And that happens automatically.
