If I pause during playback, I am sometimes able to hear weird repeats (echoes, if you will) of the last half-second or so of output audio. It will do this for a second or less and then stop.

This happens regardless of the fiddling I do with the audio device and the buffer size. I am not able to deduce if there's anything that I am doing that might be causing this — it occurs no matter which instruments are playing, what markings have been used, or any other variable I could think of. In my limited experimentation, there seems to be a vague link between the frequency of this bug and the number of instruments playing. It also seems more reproducible if I have a piano (Muse Sounds) in the score, but it also occurs in the absence of one. This, as well as the fact that I haven't seen this bug reported in the forum, is what makes me think it is a performance issue.

I'm running MuseScore 4.0.0, revision 5485621 on Windows 10.
